Each Boys Wear Pearls piece is made by hand, one at a time. Please allow 2–8 weeks for production. If the piece happens to be in stock, it will be shipped within one business day.

By proceeding with your order through checkout, deposit, or invoice, you confirm that you understand and accept the nature of our process.

Our work is built through experimentation. No two pieces are identical. Please note that gemstones may have a slight variations in colour. That’s not a flaw. That’s the point.

DELIVERY 

Every piece leaves our studio with care, inspected by hand and housed in a custom jewellery box.

Orders are shipped securely via DHL Express. Please ensure you provide a valid phone number at checkout to avoid any delivery delays.

International orders cost £25

Free delivery on all UK orders

Once dispatched, we are not liable for any items lost, stolen, or damaged in transit. We’ll always do our part to get it to you safely, but responsibility transfers to the carrier once it’s in motion.

Boys Wear Pearls are not liable for duties, taxes or levies on goods being returned to the UK for repair or return.

We ship to 37 countries, please reach out to sean@boyswearpearls.com if you have any questions. 

RETURNS 

Each piece is made by hand, and often to order. Because of this, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, size issues, or variations in finish, texture, or stone colour. These are part of the process and part of what makes your piece unique.

If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs and a description of the issue. We’ll do our best to make it right.

We do not accept returns on bespoke or custom work under any circumstance.

All shipping fees (including for returns or repairs) are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.

TAXES & DUTIES

We currently ship to a range of international destinations under DDP (Duties & Taxes Paid) wherever applicable. This means the price you see at checkout is the final amount, no extra fees or surprises on delivery.

This DDP service applies only to purchases made directly through boyswearpearls.com

CARE

Each piece is made from solid precious metal and finely cut stones, built to last, and designed to be passed down. That said, time will leave its mark. It should.

Scratches may form. Metal may deepen in tone. These changes are part of the piece’s life, part of yours.

To restore shine, use the polishing cloth included with your packaging. For deeper cleans, warm water, a soft toothbrush, and a little washing-up liquid will lift most residue from textured areas.

Avoid contact with harsh cleaning agents and cosmetics where possible. A small percentage of these can oxidise silver, especially in textured surfaces. If this happens, we recommend a professional clean.

We offer a maintenance and cleaning service through our London atelier. The fee is £50. Please email us to arrange drop-off or delivery.

BESPOKE

We offer a fully bespoke service, including: 

  • Entirely custom ring shapes – from organic to architectural
  • Precise sizing – tailored to the body, to be worn layered or solo
  • Stones – from classic cuts to rare, symbolic or personal finds
  • Precious metals – including silver, gold, platinum, or mixed
  • Settings & placements – asymmetry welcomed, intention required
  • Engraving – initials, dates
  • Polishing - matte finishes, raw finish including filling marks etc
  • One-on-one ideation and consultation – your moodboard, our hand

BESPOKE DEPOSIT

For commissioned (bespoke) pieces, a minimum 40% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the order. The payment of the deposit is deemed as 'sign-off' on the piece(s), and no changes can be made after the deposit is paid. This includes but is not limited to metal type, ring size, chain length, stone selection, stone placement and engraving.

PACKAGING

Each piece arrives in a custom box with care instructions included and a hand written note. All packaging is recyclable, made partially of already recycled material and some is compostable. The specifics are shared on your care instructions to ensure you can dispose of unwanted packaging correctly. 

SUSTAINABILITY & ETHICS

Each piece is made from recycled precious metals. Every step of the process is completed in London. We work with small-scale, local suppliers and setters, no middlemen and no factories.  

Our gemstones are ethically sourced. We work only with suppliers who share our standard, from origin traceability to fair labour. We keep the process close. 

ORDER CANCELLATION

If you need to cancel your order, we ask that you notify us in writing within 12 hours of placing it. This applies to all orders: online, invoice, or personal.

Once production begins, cancellations aren’t possible, and any deposit paid will be forfeited.

Each piece is made to order. Once the process starts, it’s already becoming yours.

REPAIRS & RESIZING

We don’t offer ring resizing.

We also can’t guarantee the integrity of pieces that have been altered by third parties. If your jewellery has been adjusted, whether resized, reset, or refinished, we reserve the right to refuse repair.

We do offer free repairs (excluding postage) on pieces that show signs of manufacturing faults. Fair wear and tear, accidental damage, or misuse will incur a fee, quoted individually.

Manufacturing faults do not include:
– Broken or damaged chains
– Lost or cracked stones
– Oxidisation or surface discolouration
– Snapped or bent rings
– Broken clasps, earring backs, or posts

If your piece needs care, we’ll do what we can. Please note: all taxes and duties on incoming parcels for repair are the responsibility of the sender.
